Phad se Padh

Nurturing Creativity and Knowledge: Sanskar School and Rooftop Join Hands in the Pursuit of Art-Integrated Learning Classrooms

In a world where education is evolving, innovative approaches that engage students and foster their creativity are gaining significance. Sanskar School, in collaboration with Rooftop, embarked on an extraordinary journey through the 'Phad se Padh' initiative. This program seamlessly integrated art and academics, offering students a unique learning experience while aligning with the vision of the New Education Policy (NEP) of 2022.

The Essence of Phad se Padh

The 'Phad se Padh' initiative was a pathway that empowered students to embrace the beauty of traditional art forms while diving deep into modern academic subjects. Sanskar School and Rooftop joined forces to bridge the gap between art and education, creating a dynamic learning platform for the students. Through the medium of Phad painting, students were able to connect with their chosen academic topics in a visually stunning and culturally enriching manner.

Sanskar School's chosen academic theme for this artistic exploration was the ‘Origin and Evolution of Money and Modes of Payments.’ Students immersed themselves in the world of economics, unearthing the historical and social aspects of currency. The canvas roll became their artistic canvas, and with the help of vibrant acrylic paints, they brought to life the intricate details of the subject. Measuring 9ft in length and 8.5ft in breadth, the canvas provided a vast space for their creative expressions.

Carefully planned and executed, the artwork comprised 32 blocks, each measuring 8 x 11 inches, intricately capturing the journey of money's evolution and the various modes of payments. Adding an intriguing visual element, a striking semi circular block with a radius of 12 inches symbolized the dynamic nature of currency. The lyrics accompanying the painting were sung in Marwadi, an ode to the cultural heritage that this initiative embraced.

Art-Integrated Learning in Action

The 'Phad se Padh' initiative not only brought together the realms of art and education but also aligned with the vision of the NEP Policy. It fostered a holistic development approach, nurturing the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains of the students. Through their involvement in this program, students experienced the joy of experiential learning, enhancing their critical thinking, communication, and social skills. The integration of traditional art forms like Phad painting provided them with a unique perspective, allowing them to make connections between acquired knowledge and real-life applications.

The initiative enabled students to become active participants in their own learning journey. It encouraged them to explore their potential, think critically, and communicate their ideas through the language of art. By equipping them with a critical and global outlook, this program empowered students to become future leaders who can make a positive impact on society.

Conclusion

The collaboration between Sanskar School and Rooftop in the 'Phad se Padh' initiative exemplifies the power of art integrated learning and its potential to transform education. By embracing the timeless art of Phad painting, students at Sanskar School engaged in a multidimensional approach to learning, expanding their horizons and deepening their understanding of academic subjects. This innovative endeavor resonated with the vision of the NEP Policy, igniting the spark of creativity, critical thinking, and cultural appreciation within each student. Through the fusion of art and academics, Sanskar School and Rooftop have set a shining example of how education can be a transformative and holistic experience for young minds.
