Inaugural ceremony of 11th Kanni Thahryamal Cricket Tournament
The inaugural ceremony of 11th Kanni Thahryamal All India Level Inter-School T-20 Cricket Tournament, an event that seeks to promote cricket among school students, was inaugurated on 12th October 2018 at Sanskar Cricket Ground. The tournament provides budding cricket stars an opportunity to polish their sports skills and strive for excellence. Shri Vinod Saharan, Convener Adhoc committee Rajasthan Cricket Association, Shri Rajesh Saraswat, member of Adhoc committee, Rajasthan Cricket Association graced the event by their benign presence.
Shri Tarak Sinha was the special guest for the ceremony. He is the recipient of first Dronacharya Award lifetime achievement in Cricket 2018, and is better known as Father of cricket. He has trained cricketers like Manoj Prabhakar, Ashish Nehra, Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant and many more who have played cricket at international level.
The young players were motivated by being told to keep moving in the face of obstacles, the imperative need to be focussed and to face all tough situations in order to achieve great heights in their career.
The tournament was declared open by Ms. Rhea Thahryamal, Director Sanskar School. Ms. Girdhar Kumari, Principal gave a warm welcome to all present there. She encouraged the players to perform fair play and maintain a co-operative spirit. She administered the oath which laid stress on maintaining true quality, glory and honour of the game and for observing its rules. She also read out the message from Mr. Sunil Gavaskar, Member of the Governing Board of the school.
The inaugural match on this exciting day was played between Rukmani Birla Modern High School and St Anselms Pink City.
Rukmani Birla Modern High School won the match by 87 runs.
