Annual Sports Day 2019 celebrated at Sanskar School
Sanskar School celebrated its Annual Sports Day 2019 at Sanskar Cricket Ground on 1st December with a lot of energy and high spirits. The event was attended by the Chief Guest for the event, Mr. Anand Srivastava, Jaipur Police Commissioner, Special Guests, Ms. Surbhi Mishra, National Squash player, Mr Sudhir Mathur and Mr Ajay Sinha, renowned philanthropists, Mr Rakesh Goswami, Chief Bureau of Hindustan Times, Mr. Shan Bhatnagar, Interior designer and artist, Mr. Sandeep Sethi, an Educationist, Mr. Rishi Miglani, model turned actor, Mr. Uttam Tharyamal and Ms. Disha Tharyamal, a young entrepreneur.
The event commenced with a fusion performance created by Sanskar Orchestra and Rock Band Thereafter, the Director, Ms Rhea Tharyamal, declaring the Sports Meet open which was followed by the Torch Lighting ceremony carried forward by the International and national level players of the school. This was followed by a crisp March Past by the students led by the school council members of each house. The guests were given a salute by the equestrian riders.
The Principal, Ms Neelam Bhardwaj, thereupon addressed the gathering wherein she encouraged the children to do their best and motivated them to strive harder for attaining excellence in their life. She highlighted some of the school’s recent International and National achievements like the Sanskar Basketball team winning CBSE National Clusters and Mayoor Cup, Ritul Khandelwal winning 2 Silver medals in World Grappling Championship, Krisha Jadeja winning a Silver medal in CBSE National Skating Championship, Misha Sharma winning a Silver medal in CBSE National Taekwondo Championship and a Bronze in International Taekwondo and Anusha Singh winning a Bronze medal in Shotput at CBSE National Athletics Meet.
This was followed by a Folk Dance performance that showcased Dandia and Garba style of dancing using various props. The Chief Guest, Mr. Anand Srivastava shared his inspiring thoughts with the distinguished gathering motivating the students to carry on with dedication on the path of glory and success.
The other performances like Yoga and Martial Arts were interspersed with the main Athletic events for students from classes VI-XI which included 100m, 200m and 400m relay races.
The highlight of the event was a tribute to the late Chairman of the school, Mr. Lachman Bhatia, whose everlasting philosophy, values and vision were highlighted through a western dance performance that simultaneously included a live glue and glitter painting created by some of the Fine Arts and Visual Arts students of Sanskar School in synchronization with the dance performance. The event concluded with prize distribution and a Vote of Thanks.
